I got another interesting story on my History/Haunted daytime tour.
I usually get the best stories on the pub crawls because the liquor loosens everyone up. People share these stories half way through the tour or at the end because at that point they begin to trust me and they basically want to know if they're crazy.
A woman with a 7 year old daughter told me they had lived in a house in upstate NY that had been an old rectory. Her daughter kept talking about a girl named Gigi in the house. I asked her if she was scared, she said no, just startled once in a while. She also said that sometimes it would get so cold in parts of the house that the dogs water dish would freeze over (it was Spring time). They finally started sleeping on the couch and after 3 months moved out. They asked the owners if anyone else had ever said anything. They said no, that they had not owned the house for very long but to their knowledge no one with children had ever rented the house.
The next couple of weeks should slow up for me and I'll start making some posts on what is one of the most interesting types of haunting, children and their imaginary friends.
