These next two stories I've covered on the tour as some strange things that have happened to people here in Savannah and I've mentioned them in previous posts.
Friday night when I just walked in the door my phone rang. I knew it had to be someone from the tour. It was and he was excited. He, his wife and another couple were renting a short term apartment on Broughton St above some business and when they went back briefly before going out again he walked in the kitchen and both faucets in the sink were going full blast and overflowing onto the floor. He called everyone else and they saw it too. The only time I've ever heard of a spirit turning the water off was at the Juliette Gordon-Lowe birth house owned by the girl scouts. Two girls taking the tour thought the old house had motion detector faucets. The guide did not correct them.
The next day I was walking home and I ran into two women who had been on the tour that same night. They said they were staying at the Staybridge Inn, the shell is from the 1800's but I've never heard stories about it. One woke up in the middle of the night and she couldn't move, she was being held in place. Not unheard of but not that common either.
Then Saturday night I stopped in front of the Marshall House and before I could open my mouth a guy on the tour pointed out a room he had stayed in before and started reeling off a bunch of things that happened. I knew the number of the room and some of the stories he told I'd heard before. Shower coming on repeatedly in the night, TV, faucets, someone knocking at the door and no one there. All this and I hadn't said a word. If you don't believe you need to do my job for a while, you will.
