Everyone knows this is one of my favorite subjects, children and their imaginary friends. I found this interesting because of the child's age and I had a similar experience that I wrote about in a previous post.
There was an elementary school counselor on my tour this weekend who told me a 4th grade girl kept alluding to something she didn't want to share because he would think she was crazy. He said in every way she was a well adjusted little girl. He finally convinced her whatever it was it would be okay. She told him sometimes when they would go places she saw people no one else could see. She added they could talk to her but she could not talk to them. I wish I could have had this girl on one of my tours (without the pub part) to let her know it was all right and she wasn't crazy (It's the adults I worry about). On another note I had a girl tell me she swears she had a little red dog when she was growing up and her parents swear she did not have a dog, red or otherwise. Then this weekend I guy told me his daughter kept pointing out a bird that would fly around the house no one else could see. No vet bills, no litter boxes. This would be a pet I would give a name and welcome into my home.
