Okay, I've got a new story for you. Initially I thought it was too bizarre to post but the guy who told me passed the "didn't appear to be a wack job/not hallucinating on alcohol" test so here goes.
He said he was at a seance (the initial too bizarre impression I got) *(definition just in case you don't know... a meeting at which people attempt to make contact with the dead, especially through the agency of a medium) with other people, one was his sister. There was a mirror in the room that he could see. At one point he looked up and a friend of his, NOT DEAD, was looking OUT OF THE MIRROR, who slowly started to rotate and there was a knife sticking out of his back. He turned to his sister and ask if she'd just seen what he did, she had. I know, I know, but after all these years and all these stories I give "whatever the deal is" a lot of leeway. It gets better. Two weeks later his friend was stabbed in the back but lived. That was sort of a let down in the story but I'll admit, I have a sick sense of humor. Sweet dreams all. Finally, I've got a new and different story to tell you. I've heard so many of the same stories from people on the tours but every once in awhile I get something from left field and those are the ones I post now.
A guy on my tour last night said he worked at a smaller hospital in Jacksonville FL in the ER. They didn't have a proper morgue and if someone passed away they left their bodies in the ER room they had passed away in and left someone on staff to watch over the corpse until the medical examiner arrived and decided if an autopsy was necessary. He said it was a bit creepy but he had gotten used to it but every once in awhile the electronic equipment would start beeping "AFTER" they had been disconnected from the body. (bet you $100 it would beep even if the equipment was unplugged from the wall!) I've heard a similar story about the radar room in scraped naval destroyer. I've always said we're all energy based, hell, they've picked up energy fields around plants and there are civil war battlefields where no ones camera will work, they're considered dead zones. A second guy told me a story of working up the courage to place something special in his grandmother's coffin at the viewing. He had been sitting there and what finally gave him the push to get up and get the deed done was when the light over her coffin started to flicker. He said it hadn't flickered before that nor for the 2 hours he kept his attention on it after that. I tell people I didn't come into paranormal belief's with both feet when I started doing these tours and I still have a few toes not quite in yet. This is one of them. Heaven and hell, good and evil. I've just lately decided to stop reading the news, it's polluting the good energy I'm trying to build. I knew there were a lot of haters out there posing as good people but I just recently started to realize the scope of it. Yikes!
I previously told a story of an evil man dying in a nursing home where the room got so hot they were changing the sheets on his bed every 20 minutes because of the sweat. They called the doctor, he said it was just the way it was sometimes (yikes again). The women telling me the story said when he passed he let a scream the likes of no one who had worked in that nursing home for 20 years had ever heard. Last night a girl on my tour told me a story about a house in Indiana she lived in that had an electric heater that required batteries. I didn't quite under stand that but the heater went out and she checked the batteries and one was in the wrong way. She fixed it and it worked. It went out twice more and each time she would check and that one battery was again inserted upside down. They also found glasses and cups that had moved around. Nothing unusual from what I've heard over the years. This is where it get's interesting. After the third go around with the batteries she's up in her bed room and it gets really hot, she sticks her head out in the hall, really cold. Cold spots I hear about, hot ones, rarely. She said they then started researching the history of the house (I've said it before, the neighbors are golden) and found out that a previous owner had hung himself in the room below. The Marshall House hotel had a problem with bad odors rising from one room to the one above it so why not some form of spirituality energy, in this case a man who took his own life, who knows, maybe to save the living from an evil he recognized from within. Everyone knows this is one of my favorite subjects, children and their imaginary friends. I found this interesting because of the child's age and I had a similar experience that I wrote about in a previous post.
There was an elementary school counselor on my tour this weekend who told me a 4th grade girl kept alluding to something she didn't want to share because he would think she was crazy. He said in every way she was a well adjusted little girl. He finally convinced her whatever it was it would be okay. She told him sometimes when they would go places she saw people no one else could see. She added they could talk to her but she could not talk to them. I wish I could have had this girl on one of my tours (without the pub part) to let her know it was all right and she wasn't crazy (It's the adults I worry about). On another note I had a girl tell me she swears she had a little red dog when she was growing up and her parents swear she did not have a dog, red or otherwise. Then this weekend I guy told me his daughter kept pointing out a bird that would fly around the house no one else could see. No vet bills, no litter boxes. This would be a pet I would give a name and welcome into my home. This is one I just heard about last week from someone on the tour. I'm sure there are a lot of out of the way places where un-explainable things happen, this one is simple and close to home. In North Carolina not really near anywhere is a small circle called the "Devils Tramping Ground". It's been known about since the area was first settled before the War of Independence. Little to nothing grows in it, they've taken soil samples, there's no scientific reason nothing grows there. Dogs don't want anything to do with the place, dead give away (pun intended) somethings not right. This is the one story that keeps coming up and is the strangest part of all. People will pitch a tent over night in the circle, will try to stay awake but are unable to and wake up in the morning, in the tent, which is now 1/2 mile away from the circle. The stories go from wild to wilder. My opinion is the one I keep going back to, don't have anything to do with Indian burial grounds. At the end of the day there are a lot of things in this world that just can't be explained away like hauntings. My opinion... can't explain it, don't worry about it, don't mess with it.
I find this fascinating. A girl on the tour told me she was living in a hotel in NYC, about 10 floors had been converted into dorms. She said the two girls in the room next to hers were art students, "very chill", got along fine but were disturbed they both kept having dreams about murdering each other. Subconscious? The dreams stopped when they moved out of that room. I'm thinking something was going on in that room that doesn't meet the eye.
I keep telling people I'm always looking for stories that are atypical (faucets keep coming on full blast all over the house in the middle of the night, yah yah, blah blah). I heard one last night that the subject has got my attention lately but not the first I've heard, spirits coming through dreams.
This girl told me after her father passed away she had the feeling he was still there protecting her. This went on for over 10 years, she always felt she had a guardian angel. One night in a dream her father came to her and told her "he had to leave" and she was now on her own. Then her uncle passed away, her mother was really worried about where he would eventually end up because he was into drugs etc. She prayed continuesly for a week for him. One night in a dream he came to this girl and told her to tell her mother he was alright and the answer to the question she had been asking in her prayers could be found in a particular book, chapter and verse in the bible and it was. Ask and ye shall receive. |
